Pamięć Jest Ulotna (Memory is Fleeting)

Through my masters project, I explored 3D visualisation as a method of historical preservation by reconstructing a typical 1990s Polish family room based on my grandmother's home. Using family photographs and videos, alongside research into cultural and interior design trends of the time, I developed my 3D environment art skills through a piece of work very close to my heart.

The rattan rocker model below was my first attempt at realism in 3D before I began working on my final project.
It was a good way of building up my modelling and texturing skills enough to approach objects from reference photos.

I gathered reference from online archives, USSR era furniture reseller groups on Facebook and personal family photographs:

About

I'm a UK based environment artist with additional experience in traditional 2D animation and production management. My work is driven by a combination of my passion for storytelling and a lifelong love for film. Besides my work in animation, I also enjoy painting traditionally using watercolour and gouache.
